T O P I C R E V I E WJakeDoes anyone know the whereabouts of the original 1962 (Grumman?) lunar module concept model? Among other things, the model was pictured in LIFE magazine articles about the LEM. We are developing a new space exhibit at the Museum of Flight in Seattle (exhibit opens June 9th) and want to build a "replica" of the model. We need the exact dimensions and would like to contact the facility where it is on display. Any history on the actual model would also be helpful. Thanks... ------------------Jake Schultz - curator,Newport Way Air Museum (OK, it's just my home)sch61Have you contacted the Cradle of Aviation Museum on Long Island, NY? There is a display case that contains several of the LM development models, including the one you describe. In a photo that took of it a few years ago, the model appears to be identical to the one in the photo that you've posted.Hope that this helps.ScottconnoisseurRegencySuperior will have an original version model of the LM in the October sale. This is the model that was on display at JSC for many years. It was made at JSC by one of the men from the model/display shop and he took it home with him when he retired many years ago. I will be picking it up next week when I am in Houston for an Appraisal Clinic at the Hilton in Clear Lake. As usual, the model will be offered in the October sale without reserve. A great buy for whoever is lucky enough to win out.Michael Orenstein
